This position will develop and lead a forward-looking Social Media strategy in order to build relevance extend the reach of the USCCA brand through Social Media outlets that target future members of the USCCA. This strategy will complement our overall brand presence and showcase our leadership to those who want to responsibly protect. The Social Media team will be proactive in creating content for social media outlets and will effectively respond to a wide range of events and topics of interest to the USCCA.
Manage and coordinate all aspects of Social Media in accordance with overall company marketing plans
Establish USCCA’s social media strategy, create road map for the future and cross channel integration plan
Establish proven community management social media processes
Lead and develop a high performing Social Media team that never “settles”
Manage and maintain a schedule for Social Media Associates to maximize the company response with allotted resources.
Work with the Director of Media and the Creative Director to maintain brand standards and the look, tone and feel of all social media posts
Create and maintain schedules of upcoming posts that are integrated with marketing plans, special events and publication dates/topics
Engage in social listening and monitoring to understand emerging issues/trends among audiences.
Oversee the tracking and reporting of all Social Media posts’ performance using Ads Manager and internal reporting system
Develop KPI for all elements. Revise offerings as needed to meet goals.
Use audience data and campaign analytics to optimize digital/social media campaigns and investments.
Keep in regular communication with various departments to ensure all content is accurate and sets the standard for excellence in the industry
Stay current with social media trends, norms, etc and have a pulse of “what’s cool” in gen pop

Skills/Abilities and Education Requirements:
6+ years of management experience, preferably overseeing content creation/distribution
BS/BA degree in a related field of study or equivalent work experience
Demonstrated knowledge of the leading social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
Proficiency in Word and Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Google Docs. Adobe Creative Cloud, CMS (e.g., WordPress), the Google Adwords advertising platform, Facebook (and other social media) advertising platforms are a plus

Ability to determine and explain the nuances of various social media platforms and how to reach potential customers through those platforms

Firearms knowledge and an understanding of the firearms industry and concealed carry lifestyle is preferred, but not required
