The primary role of the Product Owner is to represent the customer to the development team of the particular product(s) represented. This requires a person with visionary technical and business aptitude. This is done through continual cooperative communication with Customers and Stakeholders, and utilizing knowledge garnered to change the order of items in the product backlog. You will be responsible for planning & guiding delivery for a development team that is currently responsible for 3 key customer centric products. You will work closely with your engineering partners to align roadmaps, prioritize product requirements, and keep your teams focused on delivering what matters most.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand and demonstrate the basics of the Agile Manifesto daily
Work with the Chief Technology Officer & Other Stakeholders to understand the product strategy, market, industry, and customers
Share the Product vision with the team
Own and Maintains the Product and Sprint Backlogs with good prioritization skills
Create the overall Sprint Release Plan with input from the team
Participate in Sprint Review and provide direction to the team for final deployment
Work with stakeholders to listen and analyze the business problem statement and convert that into user stories for the team to solution.
Review and provide feedback to test plans and test cases to ensure changes which are made to the application meet the acceptance criteria, client business statement, and application integrity.
Work cooperatively with other product owners to ensure consistency in development and overall user experience
Perform other related duties as required.
Skills, Abilities, and Education Requirements:
Experience as an Agile Product Owner preferred, desire to learn and grow mandatory
Technical Experience creating and/or implementing Web Applications
Experience in Writing and Breaking user stories
Experience in managing and prioritizing a Product Backlog
Experience in Release Planning, Sprint Planning and Sprint Execution
Effective at building relationships with stakeholders, teams, and clients
Proficient in techniques that can be used to understand the business problem statement
Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)
Excellent time management skills
Working knowledge of Website and Application User Experience
Working knowledge of Direct Response Marketing & SEO
Passion for Analyzing Visitor Behavior - Data Analytics (conversion rates, traffic, search, keywords, etc.)
Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
