This role will be responsible for overseeing Delta Defense’s content production output to various channels and accountable for advancing the productions of all in-house properties and being the project manager/ key point of contact for all out-of-house content production. This person must have a depth of experience in content production (including video, audio, still photography, etc), as well as a keen ability to lead, inspire and manage a talented creative team that produces and publishes best-in-class content to be distributed across many digital platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead every aspect of day-to-day content production from conception to execution and delivery.
Establish a clear strategy and roadmap, rooted in consumer insights, for the creative execution of USCCA’s content development
Understand USCCA’s Demonstrate a clear understanding of the USCCA brand and maintain its integrity in content development
Develop processes, policies and quality standards within Marketing and across the organization to ensure consistency of products, schedule management and clear strategy for launching new video, audio, photo products.
Design, implementation and oversight of content production workflow, including scheduling and resource allocation to insure productions are completed on time and within budget.
Create USCCA branded videos that engage and inspire consumers to take action.
Establish content production standards which insure the USCCA produces and distributes best-in-class video/audio/photo materials regardless of production location.
Provide quarterly metrics reports to track production performance and provide input into process improvements
Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot all production equipment and post-production infrastructure
Articulate creative rationale through strong written and verbal communications skills
Be fluent in what’s trending as “cool” in the consumer landscape and have the ability to communicate that to the broader marketing organization
Work with Subject Matter Experts to develop scripts, oversee edits and manage show notes as required.
Work with internal teams to create and execute branded content
Work with cross-functional teams to advise the best category, style, and method for creating the most effective content to suit their needs
Lead all talent, set and location responsibilities for team of content content production staff members, including recruitment, development, coaching for performance, etc.
Maintain a strong network of freelance crew members
Hire and/or negotiate contracts and manage relationships with outside resources/ contractor as needed.
Research and remain current on the developments and applications of state of the art content production technology and trends.
Continually refine and test content strategy to advance our brand and drive audience growth
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in either Film/Video, Communications, or similar media driven majors or equivalent work experience
10+ years experience in progressively responsible roles in professional content production environments, demonstrating competence in all areas of video/audio/photo production, specifically project & people management.
5+ years of proven experience building and leading high performing content teams.
Demonstrated experience in being current with cultural norms, style, trends in the consumer landscape
Experience in a corporate studio environment.
Expert level knowledge of all professional video production procedures, practices, techniques, and terminology
Experience in budgeting for photo/video operations
Expert level skill with professional production equipment operation including video cameras and recorders, audio recording equipment, file compression, graphics manipulation, lighting, and proper handling and troubleshooting of broadcast quality video production equipment.
Expert level skill in Non-Linear Editing (Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere) and experienced in creating Motion Graphics and Visual FX utilizing Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, etc.)
Availability to work occasional off hours, nights and weekends, as well as travel as necessary for preplanned video shoots.
Proficiency with Apple products and Mac OS
Must communicate effectively with individuals and groups
